Why We Fear Public Speaking And What To Do About It?

Blog Intro:

Hi everyone! So once again welcome back to my blogs..(😇). Sorry for the delay as I told you guys about my exams yeah they have occurred and me oh just praying to get high scores... Well moving on let's talk about today's blog. So well this is a really interesting topic and most of us have this issue. Well, not me, I mean I had it first. Let me share my experience.

My Experience:

So I was a shy girl at first, but I guess I needed someone to boost my confidence. I was a very studious nerdy student at school and mostly got selected for quizzes and many assembly presentations at school cause of my accent. As I stepped on the stage, and get the mic I just wanted to crawl into a hole and never come out. I felt just so soft and wanted to cry out loud. I felt like a shivered prune on the stage, there are many feelings you get when you are on stage they feel like they are uncountable(😕). But I knew I had to overcome it so, this may sound unusual but I used to recite my lines in front of my mirror as if I was talking to it. Most people get this feeling scared. So did I, my teacher in nursery helped me improve my confidence I just had the boost inside me grow and now you can see what I've made of myself now...(😏). I don't know why but I feel like using emojis(😅).

Why We Fear Public Speaking?

Our brains have transferred that ancient fear of being
watched onto public speaking. In other words, public-speaking anxiety is in our DNA. We experience public speaking as an attack. We physiologically register an audience as a threatening predator and mount a comparable response.

If you want to know more about how it occurs go through this video:
